Charity Checkout: Boost your Point-of-Sale Donations

Point-of-sale (POS) displays are a tried and true way to engage supporters and boost donations. According to the Charities Aid Foundation UK Giving Report 2023, nearly a quarter of people bought an item from a charity display last year. While we’re still enjoying the end of the summer, the holiday shopping season is right around the corner—now is the perfect time to start thinking about ways you can incorporate POS displays into your campaigns to boost year-end donations.

Picture your own shopping habits. You’re waiting in the check-out line, and you see a fun, unique item at a very reasonable price. On a whim, you might just throw it in your cart! There’s a reason why major retailers and popular attractions display these items at the register or in the gift shop; it’s a proven strategy to increase sales. The same is true for your charity. We recommend offering merchandise that is low cost with a high donation value. Here, we look at three creative ideas for your next point-of-sale campaign.

Fashion First: Charity Fundraising Bracelets

Appeal to your fashion-forward supporters with a bespoke charity bracelet. Using our vast experience in manufacturing lanyards, we offer a charity fundraising bracelet that is unusual in the marketplace. It’s a high-quality, material wristband that can be branded with your message on both sides with dye sublimation printed in full colour, spot print, or even woven. Each bracelet is finished with two silver or black beads, so it is fully adjustable to fit any wrist. Fashionable charity bracelets will carry your message far and wide, all with a low cost and high donation value.

For inspiration, look to Young Lives vs Cancer. The charity teamed up with JD Wetherspoon on a “Banding Against Cancer” campaign. It released three exclusive and collectable wristbands that are available for purchase in pubs across the county. The bands are displayed in an eye-catching display box that features more information about World Cancer Day. Pick Something Super Handy: Trolley-Coin Keyrings

Another low cost, yet highly popular idea for POS merchandise is a trolley-coin keyring. Take it from us and our deep experience: this is one of the most handy and helpful items, which fosters a feeling of goodwill toward your charity and drives maximum exposure.

Does your charity reach outside the UK? No problem. At Rocket Charities, we offer a Euro token keyring to ensure a handy product for your supporters, no matter where they are. And don’t let the small stature of the trolley-coin keyring fool you—our keyrings can be made with up to four colours of enamel or a full-colour decal print to accurately capture your special charity branding.

Custom Charity Keyrings: As Unique as Your Own Charity

Another smart choice for your next POS campaign is a custom charity keyring. In your own experience, you’ve probably seen keyrings displayed for sale at shops, museums, and attractions. These relatively low-cost products help ensure that your message gets into the right hands, quite literally. At Rocket Charities, we can design a stunning keyring that is as unique as your charity; you can customize everything from the size to the shape to the material. We can even design a matching backing card with pricing details and more information on your mission.

Our keyrings are well-designed and high quality; yet the cost to create one is minimal to you, so they can be sold at a very profitable price for your charity. For example, we helped the UK’s leading children’s charity, NSPCC, create an exclusive Pantosaurus keyring for sale at Matalans, which helped raise more than £10 million for NSPCC!

And that’s not all. To make the most out of your upcoming POS campaigns, we can also help you design and manufacture eye-catching in-store displays for your merchandise, from backing cards to boxes. With every Rocket Charities order, you have direct access to our in-house design team, who can help you create a stunning, fully branded display to boost your sales and support your mission.

On top of this, you can feel good when you partner with Rocket Charities. Our factories must pass strict auditing processes and we even offer carbon positive freight. When your order is ready to ship to you, we offset 110% of the carbon emissions.
